Caucasus Investment Forum starts run-up to 3rd Vershina (Apex) Russian Investment Award

On 17 November 2025, the Caucasus Investment Forum announced it would be accepting nominations for the 3rd Vershina (Apex) Russian Investment Award from now until 1 March 2026. The winners will be announced at a special ceremony during the Caucasus Investment Forum 2026, scheduled for 17–19 May 2026 at the MinvodyExpo International Exhibition Center in Mineralnye Vody. The Forum is being organized by the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, and the Government of Stavropol Territory.

“The purpose of the Vershina Investment Award is to draw attention to successful projects, share successful experiences with investment, and show how investment has benefited the regions and the nation’s economy as a whole,” Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak said.

Nominations are being accepted in 11 categories for innovative projects implemented between 2023 and 2026 using advanced technologies and making a significant contribution to the socioeconomic development of Russia’s regions. Participation is open to citizens of the Russian Federation and legal entities operating within the bounds of Russian legislation.

The selection process consists of several stages, with nominations evaluated by an expert committee and a jury consisting of federal officials and executives from major national enterprises determining the winners.

The Vershina Award is an opportunity for the country’s leading investors to come together each year, and it attracted 266 applications from 49 Russian regions in 2025, clearly demonstrating growing interest in the kinds of projects that can determine the future of regional economies. Particular interest has been noted in Moscow, the Chechen Republic, and the Republic of Dagestan, confirming the fast-developing nature of the investment environments in those regions.

The Vershina Award was established to shine a light on the outstanding investment projects, organizations, and leaders contributing to the development of Russia’s regional investment potential and economic growth.
