Dates of 30th Anniversary St. Petersburg International Economic Forum Decided

The full business programme for the 11th Eastern Economic Forum, including the list of speakers, has been published on the official website. EEF 2026 will be held from 1 to 4 September in Vladivostok on the campus of Far Eastern Federal University. The Forum is organized by the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation.

“We are working tirelessly to ensure that this Forum, like those before it, becomes one of the leading platforms for discussing pressing issues. Those issues include the implementation of investment projects, strengthening international cooperation, improving people’s quality of life, as well as developing cultural and humanitarian ties. Decisions taken at the Eastern Economic Forum have transformed the Far East. It was here that instruments such as advanced development areas and the Free Port of Vladivostok were launched, along with the Far Eastern Hectare programme, preferential mortgages, and many others. This Forum will be no exception: it will allow us to discuss the implementation of all the existing mechanisms and develop new ways of supporting the Far Eastern territories that will make our country stronger,” said Yury Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Russian Federation – Plenipotentiary Presidential Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District and Chairman of the EEF Organizing Committee.

The central theme of EEF 2026 is “The Far East: Development for the Benefit of People”. The programme comprises more than 70 sessions divided into five thematic tracks: Living and Working in the Far East; Mechanisms for Attracting Private Investments; The Far East – A Pole of International Interaction; Technologies of the Present and the Future; and Logistics and Infrastructure for Economic Growth.

“The world finds itself in a perfect storm: the rules of the game that held good for decades are falling apart, while familiar economic and geopolitical ties are breaking down. New natural and artificial constraints keep emerging, slowing the pace of global growth. In these circumstances, Russia needs to seek out new opportunities for development. To realize them in full, we must build strong ties, first and foremost in the Asia-Pacific region, which has become an economic centre shaping the global economy. The Eastern Economic Forum is the meeting point of Russia and the Asia-Pacific, a major event that attracts politicians and entrepreneurs from around the world every year. As is traditional, the business programme addresses the themes that will define tomorrow’s agenda. This year, particular attention is given to the factors directly affecting people’s socioeconomic well-being. Technological development and the adoption of artificial intelligence, international cooperation, logistics and trade, the implementation of investment projects, and other topics will all be discussed by Forum participants. I am confident that the EEF will make it possible to develop new solutions and launch joint projects that will contribute to the sustainable development of the Far East and improve people’s quality of life,” emphasized Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the EEF Organizing Committee.

The Living and Working in the Far East track will examine the development of the region’s infrastructure, education, workforce development, and other topics. Taking part in the discussion will be Alexey Chekunkov, Minister for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic; Irina Yarovaya, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma; Anna Tsivileva, State Secretary – Deputy Minister of Defence of Russia and Chair of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation; Nikita Stasishin, Deputy Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation; Igor Barinov, Head of the Federal Agency for Ethnic Affairs; and other government officials and experts.

The Mechanisms for Attracting Private Investments track will focus on the development of preferential regimes and the stock market in the Far East, the financing of infrastructure projects, and subsoil use. The discussions will bring together Mikhail Mamuta, Deputy Governor and member of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Russia; Anatoly Aksakov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on the Financial Market; Alexey Moiseev, Deputy Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation; Ilya Shestakov, Head of the Federal Agency for Fishery; and others.

The Far East – A Pole of International Interaction track will address economic and technological cooperation between Russia and other countries. Among the participants are Alexey Overchuk, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Russian Federation; Vitaly Altabaev, First Deputy Minister for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic; Petr Fradkov, Chairman of PSB Bank; Vladislav Maslennikov, Senior Arctic Official representing Russia at the Arctic Council and Director of the Department of European Issues at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation; Hou Qijun, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sinopec; Olivier Linossier, Director General of HX Energy Labs and founder of Eurasia Industries Group; and others.

The Technologies of the Present and the Future track will focus on the development of AI, the use of robotics in production, and the creation of unmanned systems. Taking part in the discussion will be Alexander Kozlov, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation; Vladislav Davankov, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma; Denis Sekirinsky, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation; Chezka Gonzales, founder of Philippine Blockchain Week and Founding Vice President of the Blockchain Council of the Philippines; and Zhang Weiwei, Director of the China Institute at Fudan University.

The Logistics and Infrastructure for Economic Growth track will focus on the development of the Northern Sea Route, the Trans-Siberian Railway, and other transport arteries; the modernization of port infrastructure; the development of freight and passenger transport; and other topics. Speakers at the sessions will include Alexey Likhachev, Director General of the Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation; Igor Levitin, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation and Special Presidential Representative for International Cooperation in Transport; and Alexander Grushko, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
