On the sidelines of the 6th Eastern Economic Forum, which will take place on 2–4 September in Vladivostok, the Roscongress Foundation and the RC-Investments Foundation have signed a cooperation agreement with the Russian-Chinese Business Council. Chairman of the Board and CEO of the Roscongress Foundation Alexander Stuglev, CEO of the RC-Investments Foundation Alexander Shatirov and Executive Director of the Russian-Chinese Business Council Evgeny Markin took part in the ceremony.
The agreement outlines the promotion of cooperation between Russian and Chinese organizations as well as Asia-Pacific nations.
«We have agreed to develop our ties and boost trade and economic relations between Russia and China, to support the establishment of mutually beneficial links between the Russian and Chinese business communities, and to create opportunities to organize meetings, conferences, discussions and working groups on specific issues concerning bilateral economic relations,» said Alexander Stuglev.
«The EEF is a hugely important platform for forging contacts with our Asian partners, as well as for discussing and identifying solutions to the most pressing issues in the development of our country’s Far Eastern region. Despite the fact that there will be no official Chinese delegation in attendance this year, the Russian-Chinese Business Council is facilitating active dialogue with representatives of Chinese business at various events during the Forum. We are looking at the joint development and implementation of specific projects that will contribute to the realization of the economic and cultural potential of the Russian Far East and Russia as a whole,» said Executive Director of the Russian-Chinese Business Council Evgeny Markin.
