Due to the aggravated epidemiological situation in the country caused by the spread of the Omicron variant, the Government of the Russian Federation has decided to postpone the Russian Investment Forum, previously scheduled for 17–19 February 2022.
«Despite the postponement of the Russian Investment Forum, we carry on with our preparation for it. Attracting investments to Russian regions is of key importance for the country’s economy. That is why we are developing the agenda and the business programme for the event remotely in close cooperation with the regions. As soon as the epidemiological situation improves, we will resume active preparation and hold the Forum at the highest level,» said Dmitry Chernyshenko, Head of the Russian Investment Forum Organizing Committee and Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.
«Now that the Forum is postponed, heads of Russian regions can use the additional time to perfect their investment project presentation at the event with due regard for national development goals. The Roscongress Foundation and Rospotrebnadzor will further cooperate on enhanced safety measures and standards for the events organized during the spread of the new coronavirus strain to ensure the Forum is held in 2022,» said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee.
The new dates will be announced later, once the epidemiological situation in Russia improves.
