The Roscongress Foundation and Dorra Events and Exhibitions have signed a cooperation agreement aimed at promoting and implementing joint projects in preparation for and during the Sports Investment Forum. The document was signed at the 13th International Sports Forum ‘Russia: Country of Sports’ by Alexander Stuglev, Chairman of the Board and CEO of the Roscongress Foundation, and Ibrahim Al-Bakri, General Director of the Sports Investment Forum. The Forum is taking place from 5 to 7 November in Samara in accordance with a decree by the President of the Russian Federation, with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation. The event is organized by the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation, and the operator of the event is the Roscongress Foundation.
“Our agreement goes beyond the preparation and coverage of the Sports Investment Forum. We are focused on broader goals, such as the development of socio-economic initiatives, the promotion of the sports agenda, and the integration of sport into the programmes of major business and exhibition events in Russia. This cooperation is especially significant in light of the upcoming event, as next year Saudi Arabia will be the guest country at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum,” emphasized Alexander Stuglev, Chairman of the Board and CEO of the Roscongress Foundation.
During the meeting held in Samara, the parties also discussed holding an off-site session of the International Sports Forum ‘Russia: Country of Sports’ as part of the Sports Investment Forum, which will take place from 3 to 5 May 2026.
“Cooperation with the Roscongress Foundation will provide the Sports Investment Forum with support and increase the recognition of the Forum’s brand through its presence at key business and exhibition events in Russia. The International Sports Forum ‘Russia: Country of Sports’ in Samara confirms that sport plays a major role in Russia: sporting events attract enormous public interest, and the state is actively involved in organizing competitions and supporting the activities of clubs. As organizers of a forum in another country, we have much to learn from our Russian colleagues,” said Ibrahim Al-Bakri, General Director of the Sports Investment Forum.
According to the signed cooperation agreement, the parties will provide mutual consultation, informational and expert support, carry out promotional campaigns to advance their respective events, and cooperate to ensure objective and comprehensive coverage of the Sports Investment Forum in Russian and international media, while also working towards strengthening the positive reputation of their joint initiatives.
