The meeting of the Organizing Committee on the Preparation and Holding of the 11th Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), scheduled for 1–4 September 2026 in Vladivostok, took place in Moscow. The EEF is organized by the Roscongress Foundation, with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation.

“The Eastern Economic Forum is held under the leadership of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, and drives development across the Far Eastern region. Currently, more than 3,000 investment projects are being implemented in the Far East, with a total value of RUB 13.5 trillion, of which RUB 6 trillion have already been invested, including RUB 1 trillion over the past year. This is a remarkable outcome achieved despite efforts by a number of unfriendly countries to impede progress. Over 1,000 enterprises have been launched through these projects, generating more than 180,000 jobs. Last year, the Forum welcomed over 8,000 participants from 75 countries. We continue to engage with international partners and promote the development of the Far East and Russia,” opened the meeting Yury Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District, and Chairman of the EEF Organizing Committee.

During the meeting, general aspects of the Forum’s preparation were discussed, including the content of its business programme as well as the development of urban infrastructure.

“Today, the Eastern Economic Forum is one of the key tools for the development of the Far East and an important platform for advancing national objectives. In 2026, proclaimed in Russia as the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, the Forum will focus particularly on the humanitarian aspect of development. The ‘Soul of Russia’ project, first introduced at the anniversary Eastern Economic Forum, will integrate the country’s traditions, modern ideas, and cultural diversity, showcasing the distinctive features of our multiethnic nation through the work of the creative cluster. This effort will strengthen the Far East’s standing as a hub for interaction between the cultures and civilizations of the Asia-Pacific region,” stated Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, Deputy Chairman of the Organizing Committee, and Secretary General.

The Organizing Committee participants discussed the thematic agenda for the upcoming event. “Ten years is already a sufficient period to review what has been achieved. One of the topics will focus on analyzing the implementation of the President’s directives issued following previous Forums. We do not hold the EEF for its own sake, but to achieve meaningful results, which are defined by the Head of State’s directives. Another important priority is technological development. Today, without the advancement of technology, the development of the Far East and the country as a whole is impossible,” said Yury Trutnev.

Additionally, the business programme will address the development of energy and transport infrastructure, mechanisms for attracting private investment and government support measures, as well as issues related to human resources policy. Particular focus will be placed on carrying out the master plans of Far Eastern cities and enhancing living standards. Traditionally, industry-focused business sessions will be held to examine the progress of investment projects.

The opening day of the EEF will feature the 4th Falcon Day International Forum, which has established itself as a notable part of the Forum. The traditional ‘Far East Street’ exhibition will also take place, showcasing the achievements, unique culture, traditions, and cuisine of the Russian Far East regions, as well as their economic potential.

The Forum 2026 will see an enhanced focus on international sports. For the fifth time, the EEF Parade of Sails will take place, bringing together over 1,000 sailors and young yachtsmen in the Amur Bay, including professional foreign sailors from the People’s Republic of China and other friendly countries.
